Love Looks Like Family: Update on Iris Global Pemba Family

We have exciting news from our Iris Pemba family! They are undergoing a metamorphosis of sorts to provide improved holistic care for the children. This has been a long time coming, but now our children have small family-based homes that create a more nurturing environment with time and space for individual attention.

We recently welcomed our boys into newly remodeled homes in the neighborhood. Stop for the One believes that when children thrive, communities thrive. When we recognize and activate the gifts and abilities of those in front of us there is a pathway to restore hope and bring transformation to communities. In this setting they live with an educator in a loving atmosphere to develop the skills they will need for their future. These homes provide a safe and stable environment for the children to grow up alongside their peers.

Our boys are already thriving and growing in their new homes. They still attend Escola na Colheita at the top of the hill at the Village of Joy, go to church, and participate in other activities together.  We are eager to watch the boys develop as leaders in their communities and their families. Love looks like family!
