What God Is Doing
We have testimonies flowing in constantly and love sharing them for others to be encouraged. Whether it is the Supernatural provision of God or simply what happens when everyday, ordinary Believers listen to the heart of God and stop for the one right in front of them, we want to share them with you. Be encouraged by these encounters and share yours!
We are so excited to announce our Iris Global Cambodia Children's Center has been added to sponsorship!
Take a quick peek into how Stop for the One is helping to fulfill the call of the Gospel in word and action in Kenya! The Village of Peace Project focuses on eliminating the educational roadblocks many children face in Kenya. Watch the video to see how this happens.
The main focus of the Iris Kenya Village of Peace Project is to empower this village to break away from this cycle of poverty and despair by educating the children. We will set up projects that empower and encourage self-sustainability, teaching the unemployed skills, such as sewing and organic farming - skills they will be able to use at home and to earn an income.
Five days a week our Pemba center fills with children from our community who come for the Agape Kids Club in the Centro de Esperança de Communidade – the Hope Community Center. Each day our doors are open for anywhere from 250 to 500 kids, ranging from 3-14 years old. Any child in the surrounding community wishing to have a plate of rice and beans and hear the Good News is welcome. These two things may not seem like a big deal, but for them, they are huge!
Hope Families is a program that encourages families within our Iris churches to care for the orphans in their communities. In collaboration with the local churches, Stop for the One supports these families through assistance that provide quarterly food, school materials, hygiene supplies and more. This collaboration encourages not only the heart of stopping for the one, but also community building and local outreach.
Once a week, our Iris Guinea Base feeds over 200 children in their local community. Base Director, Sia Tongu, shares a testimony of how the Lord multiplied food!

Agape Kids Club is a generation of kids learning to love God and love their neighbor.
In front of me was one of the girls who had come with a piece of bread. She smiled widely and I reciprocated. Then she broke the bread and gave me a piece. I tried to refuse, I really did not want to eat some of her little supper, but she insisted. It was extravagant. Extravagant sharing.
I witnessed, our daughter, stopping for the one, she sat face-to-face explaining the gospel so patiently and tenderly speaking to Maria. The very one that had once been stopped for was now pouring into others with only a love that comes from Jesus.
This year our girls at Village of Joy have been learning a very important life lesson...what love looks like!
